Support at every step

Finding care shouldn’t feel like a guessing game.

Every family has different needs, priorities, and finances. We listen first, then narrow the search to options that truly fit—so you can make a thoughtful decision without calling dozens of communities on your own.

♥

The best part

Our placement guidance is provided at no cost to families.

We are compensated by participating senior-living communities after a successful placement. Our priority remains helping your family find an option that fits your loved one’s care needs, preferences, lifestyle, and budget.

Placement options

Care that fits the person—not just the diagnosis.

We help families explore the right level of support, from independent living to specialized memory care.

01

Independent Living

Maintenance-free living, social connection, amenities, and greater peace of mind.

02

Assisted Living

Personalized help with daily routines while preserving dignity and independence.

03

Memory Care

Secure, structured support for individuals living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

04

Adult Care Homes

Understanding the cost

How is senior living paid for?

There is no single answer. We help families understand the most common funding paths and ask the right questions before choosing a community.

$

Private Pay

The most common option. Families may use income, savings, investments, retirement funds, or proceeds from selling a home.

⌂

Long-Term Care Insurance

Some policies help pay for assisted living or other long-term care. Benefits and approved settings vary by policy.

★

Veterans Benefits

Eligible veterans or surviving spouses may qualify for VA Pension with Aid and Attendance to help with care costs.

AZ

ALTCS

Arizona’s Medicaid long-term-care program may cover care services for people who meet medical and financial requirements. Some members receive services in assisted living settings.

Important Medicare distinction

Medicare generally does not pay for long-term custodial care or assisted-living room and board. It may cover qualifying medical care or short-term skilled services under specific conditions.

Coverage and eligibility vary. Grace & Guidance does not determine eligibility or guarantee benefits; we can help connect families with the appropriate program or professional.

Common questions

Answers before you begin.

When should I call a senior placement specialist?

As early as possible—especially after a fall, hospitalization, new diagnosis, caregiver burnout, or when living at home no longer feels safe. Planning before a crisis gives your family more choices.

Can you help if our budget is limited?

Yes. We consider the family’s real financial situation and help explore realistic options, including communities that may work with ALTCS or ALTCS-pending residents when available.

Do you only serve Tucson?

No. Grace & Guidance serves families throughout Arizona.

Will you help us arrange tours?

Yes. We can help coordinate tours, prepare the right questions, compare options, and stay involved through the decision-making process.
